Abstract

These data are linked to the L&O Letters publication "Impacts of Residential Fertilizer Ordinances on Florida Lacustrine Water Quality" by D. Aviles, E.F. Belshe, A.J. Reisinger, and S.J. Smidt. Provided here are the final lake data and data processing codes.

Included here:

1. Dataset S1 (lakes_data_final.csv) consisting of the mean annual water quality parameters (phosphorus, nitrogen, Chlorophyll a, and Secchi depth) for the 160 lakes selected for our analysis.
2. Scripts S1-S4 used for the linear mixed effect modeling. Script S1 (modeling_ban_type_P.R) contains the analysis investigating total phosphorus concentration in the lakes. Script S2 (modeling_ban_type_N.R) contains the analysis investigating total nitrogen concentration in the lakes. Script S3 (modeling_ban_type_Chl.R) contains the analysis investigating Chlorophyll a concentration in the lakes. Script S4 (modeling_ban_type_secchi.R) contains the analysis investigating Secchi depth in the lakes.
