Abstract

This resource provides a training and test module for applying FLDPLN to flood inundation mapping in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The resource is intended to support model training, workflow testing, and reproducible evaluation of FLDPLN-based flood mapping procedures in a local study area.
Users can use the materials provided in this resource to become familiar with the FLDPLN workflow, test model execution, and examine flood inundation mapping outputs for the Tuscaloosa application.

All the codes and data here are a set for using the FLDPLN model, which Dr. Jude Kastens (Professor at the University of Kansas) developed.

Data Services

The following web services are available for data contained in this resource. Geospatial Feature and Raster data are made available via Open Geospatial Consortium Web Services. The provided links can be copied and pasted into GIS software to access these data. Multidimensional NetCDF data are made available via a THREDDS Data Server using remote data access protocols such as OPeNDAP. Other data services may be made available in the future to support additional data types.
