Abstract

This resource contains experimental and simulation data related to the study of flow and sediment transport around large woody debris (LWD) models.
Instructions:

The experimental data include both bathymetry and velocity measurements taken during controlled flume experiments.
Simulation data are organized by cases corresponding to different models (PM, PRW, SL, SRW) and include necessary directories to reproduce the results.
Contents:
Experiment
bathymetry: Contains STL files representing experimental bathymetric surfaces.
PRW_bathy_exp.stl: Experimental bathymetry for the porous rootwad case.
SL_bathy_exp.stl: Experimental bathymetry for the simple log case.
velocity: Excel files with velocity profiles recorded at various cross-sections of the flume.
Horizontal_no_rw.xlsx, Horizontal_prw_new.xlsx, y23_no_rw.xlsx, y23_prw_new.xlsx, y27half_no_rw.xlsx, y27half_prw_new.xlsx, y33_no_rw_corrected.xlsx, y33_prw_v2.xlsx: Velocity data at different heights and positions.
LWD_simulations:
Case directories for simulations conducted using OpenFOAM.
pm, PRW, SL, SRW: Each folder contains subdirectories (0, constant, system) and time-step data for running and analyzing simulations of different LWD models.
Usage Notes: To replicate or continue the research, users should set up OpenFOAM and compile the solver used for these simulations. The experimental data files can be used for validation or comparison with the simulated outputs.
