Abstract
Global water security is one of humanities greatest challenges, yet it also represents an opportunity to catalyse transformative change. The very properties of water security that make it difficult to address also introduce potential for it to connect global agendas like climate change mitigation and adaptation planning and the sustainable development goals. This dataset presents an analysis of intergovernmental and scientific global agendas on water. The data shows that these agendas already embody the opportunity to catalyse transformative change and highlight opportunities to better connect these agendas to accelerate action on water.
