Abstract
Data management is a core requirement of all NSF funded research grants and while there are many options for sustaining the life of observation data, there are also many challenges that researchers may encounter. This seminar will discuss some common challenges and present solutions using CUAHSI tools. Moreover, attendees will be introduced to approaches for managing archived and streaming observation data, data ownership, access control, and publication. Discussion will center around pre-defined use cases with an emphasis on researchers that have collected data in the past, are currently collecting data, or are managing a project consisting of data from multiple sources. Attendees can expect an introduction to a variety of software tools for managing time series datasets and are encouraged to follow along through the use case demonstrations.
