Intro-to-Snow-Observations-Modeling-Analysis

SNOTEL

This repo support the learning materials for HydroLearn course CVEEN 6001- Introduction to Seasonal Snow Observations, Modeling, and Analysis. Please review the Getting Started page to assist with setting up your project specific virtual environment.

This resource contains four key sections corresponding with the respective sections in the HydroLearn module.

  1. Snotel: Snotel.ipynb
  2. NASA ASO: ASO.ipynb
  3. National Water Model - NOAH-OWP-Modular: NWM_NOAH_Snow.ipynb
  4. Making your State of the Snowpack Report: SnowReport.ipynb

SNOTEL

Data Services

The following web services are available for data contained in this resource. Geospatial Feature and Raster data are made available via Open Geospatial Consortium Web Services. The provided links can be copied and pasted into GIS software to access these data. Multidimensional NetCDF data are made available via a THREDDS Data Server using remote data access protocols such as OPeNDAP. Other data services may be made available in the future to support additional data types.
