Abstract

The content of this resource serves as the data for:
"Full domestic supply chains of blue virtual water flows estimated for major US cities"
S Garcia, R Rushforth, B Ruddell, A Mejia
Water Resources Research, 2020.

1. "TotalProduction": This is the column vector of size 4838 x 1 that indicates the total production
of products (41 products) at every region (118 regions) regardless of the destination.

2. "FinalDemand": This is the column vector of size 4838 x 1 that indicates the amount of final demand
of each product required from each origin region to satisfy the national demand from final consumers.
The subtraction of "TotalProduction" - "FinalDemand" provides the amount of intermediate demand.

3. "LeontiefInverse": This is the Leontief inverse matrix of size 4838 x 4838 that indicates the amount of inputs
required to produce a unit value of each output product.

Note: all values are in Millions of U.S. Dollars. For more details on the source of the data, the structure of tables, or the use of results, check the publication including the supplementary material section.
