Abstract
Sediment accumulation rates, sediment composition (percent organic, carbonate, terrigenous), and sediment particle size class (<63 microns and > 63 microns) measured at nine locations in Faga'alu Bay, American Samoa, from March 3, 2014 to April 10, 2015. Data include both gross sediment accumulation measured in tube traps and net sediment accumulation measured using SedPods. Separate files include hourly wave statistics from the Wave Watch 3 model for the cell nearest Faga'alu Bay, and the mean wave energy, 95th percentile wave energy, and suspended sediment yield from the watershed draining to the bay. Further description and analysis is published in https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ecss.2026.109952.
