Abstract
This resource includes measured and modelled breakthrough curves (BTCs) (time vs. concentration) of 10 conservative tracer (NaCl) injections conducted in 2021 in a lowland sandy stream at the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR) in Staffordshire, UK. This fieldwork was conducted as part of a before-after-control-impact experiment which investigated the impacts to transport and storage mechanisms of installing a series of channel-spanning wood features. Electric conductivity (EC) was measured at 10 second intervals using automatic sensors (Levelogger 5 LTC, Solinst Canada Ltd.) at the start and end of each sub-reach and converted to NaCl concentration using calibration curves developed using stream water. BTCs have been corrected for background EC and time is presented as time since injection. BTCs were modelled using the model published by Drummond et al. (2019) in https://doi.org/10.1029/2019GL085849.
