README.txt
The data uploaded here consists of measurements of a range of meteorological variables and radiation kinetics. More details are as follows: 1) Datafile nomenclature: All the filenames are named as follows. "ExpNumber_SiteName_FileName.csv" Here, ExpNumber or the experiment number can be either "Exp01" (corresponding to long-term measurement configuration) or "Exp02" (corresponding to short-term measurement configuration). SiteName has the following configurations: For Exp01, SiteName can be: 1) "Open" (corresponding to the site located in the open field), 2) "Isolated" (corresponding to the vegetated sites with an isolated tree), 3) "Under" (corresponding to the vegetated site). For Exp02, SiteName can be: 1) "Under" (corresponding to the vegetated site), 2) "Second" (corresponding to another vegetated site). Filename may consist of 'Data_temporal resolution' e.g. 15min OR variablename e.g., Longwave Since, for the "Exp02" "Second" site, the data are collected for two different periods, the variable names (in Filename) are followed by 'period1'/'period2' e.g. Longwave_period1 2) Site information For experiment 01, open site: 46°45'40.2"N 116°45'47.7"W isolated site: 46°47'06.4"N 116°47'32.5"W (one tree) under site: 46°47'05.0"N 116°47'33.0"W (under) For experiment 02 under site: 46°47'05.0"N 116°47'33.0"W (under) second site: 46°47'07.2"N 116°47'33.5"W 3) File information Variable Name Full Name Unit BattV_Min Minimum battary voltage Volts TempSouth1 Surface temperature of the tree on the south side 1 Deg C TempSouth2 Surface temperature of the tree on the south side 2 Deg C TempNorth Surface temperature of the tree on the north side 2 Deg C TempNeedle Surface temperature of the tree on the leaf needle Deg C AirTC_Avg Air temperature Deg C RH_Max Maximum relative humidity % RH_Avg Average relative humidity % SurfaceTemp South side tree surface temperature from Infrared sensor Deg C BodyTemp Infrared sensor body temperature Deg C RinSouth Shortwave radiation received by the tree on the south side W/m^2 RinNorth Shortwave radiation received by the tree on the north side W/m^2 IR02_Avg pyrgeometer net longwave radiation W/m^2 Lin horizontal longwave radiation W/m^2 T109_1_Avg Surface temperature of the tree on the south side 1 Deg C T109_2_Avg Surface temperature of the tree on the south side 2 Deg C T109_3_Avg Surface temperature of the tree on the north side 2 Deg C T109_4_Avg Surface temperature of the tree on the leaf needle Deg C TT_C_Avg South side tree surface temperature from Infrared sensor Deg C SBT_C_Avg Infrared sensor body temperature Deg C SlrW2_Avg Shortwave radiation received by the tree on the south side W/m^2 SlrW3_Avg Shortwave radiation received by the tree on the north side W/m^2 IR02Co_Avg pyrgeometer net longwave radiation W/m^2 Lin_Avg horizontal longwave radiation W/m^2 Rin_Avg horizontal shortwave radiation W/m^2 RH_TMx Maximum relative humidity % SlrW1_Avg horizontal shortwave radiation W/m^2 SlrW2_Avg Tree north side shortwave radiation W/m^2 SlrW3_Avg Tree east side shortwave radiation W/m^2 SlrW4_Avg Tree south side shortwave radiation W/m^2 Surface_Temp1_Avg South surface temperature Deg C Surface_Temp2_Avg North surface temperature Deg C Surface_Temp3_Avg East surface temperature Deg C Surface_Temp4_Avg South surface temperatre Deg C IRNorth_Avg Tree north side incoming longwave radiation W/m^2 IRNorthCo_Avg Tree north side pyranometer net longwave radiation W/m^2 IRSouth_Avg Tree south side incoming longwave radiation W/m^2 IRSouthCo_Avg Tree south side pyranometer net longwave radiation W/m^2 SlrWS_Avg - W/m^2 PTemp_C_Avg Air Temperature Deg C IR01Temp_C_Avg Location 1 temperature Deg C IR01_Avg Pyrgeometer 1 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR01Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 1 longwave radiation W/m^2 IR02Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 2 temperature Deg C IR03Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 3 temperature Deg C IR03_Avg Pyrgeometer 3 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR03Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 3 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 IR04Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 4 temperature Deg C IR04_Avg Pyrgeometer 4 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR04Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 4 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 IR05Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 5 temperature Deg C IR05_Avg Pyrgeometer 5 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR05Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 5 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 IR06Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 6 temperature Deg C IR06_Avg Pyrgeometer 6 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR06Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 6 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 IR07Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 7 temperature Deg C IR07_Avg Pyrgeometer 7 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR07Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 7 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 IR08Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 8 temperature Deg C IR08_Avg Pyrgeometer 8 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR08Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 8 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 IR09Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 9 temperature Deg C IR09_Avg Pyrgeometer 9 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR09Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 9 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 IR10Temp_C_Avg Pyrgeometer 10 temperature Deg C IR10_Avg Pyrgeometer 10 net longwave radiation W/m^2 IR10Co_Avg Pyrgeometer 10 downward longwave radiation W/m^2 LP02_Avg pyranometer 1 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP03_Avg pyranometer 2 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP05_Avg pyranometer 3 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP06_Avg pyranometer 4 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP07_Avg pyranometer 5 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP11_Avg pyranometer 6 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP12_Avg pyranometer 7 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP13_Avg pyranometer 8 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP17_Avg pyranometer 9 shortwave radiation W/m^2 LP18_Avg pyranometer 10 shortwave radiation W/m^2
