Abstract

This dataset contains surface CO2 and CH4 concentrations from headwater stream in the monsoonal north of Australia. This data was collected as part of the field campaigns for "Hydrology regulates sources and sinks of carbon dioxide and methane in a tropical headwater stream" but was never used directly in the manuscript or published in the supporting data. The subsection "Spatial Sampling" in the manuscript details a headspace method used to measure gas concentration in shallow subsurface flows– the same headspace method was used to collect these gas samples from the stream channel. These samples were collected from the stream surface (depth ~10cm or less).
