Abstract

This dataset contains 40 years of Noah-MP simulations driven by two meteorological forcing datasets: Analysis of Record for Calibration (AORC) and CONUS404. The simulations were performed at a 4-km spatial resolution across Arizona. Model outputs have been aggregated and mapped to the 52 groundwater basins defined by the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR). Additional information on the groundwater basin boundaries is available at: https://infoshare.azwater.gov/docushare/dsweb/Get/WellRegDoc-371997/GW%20Basin%20and%20Sub-Basin%20map.pdf. The scientific publication describing the dataset and methodology can be found at: https://doi.org/10.1029/2025GL114747. The key variables include temperature, precipitation, recharge, soil evaporation, canopy evaporation, transpiration, runoff and top layer soil moisture. These datasets are available in two formats:
1. Monthly mapped variables over ADWR Basins in CSV format.
2. 40-year climatology mapped over ADWR Basins in GeoTiff format.
