Abstract
We conducted field-scale green stormwater infrastructure experiments at the Orange County Public Works Low Impact Development Test Facility in June 2018 and June 2019. In June 2018, the experimental biofilter was subject to 10 simulated storms over five days (two per day). The second storm of each day was spiked with bromide as a conservative tracer. In June 2019, the same biofilter was subject to 7 simulated storms over five days (two on the the first day, one on the third day, and two each on the fourth and fifth days). The third storm of the 2019 sequence was spiked with bromide. For all 17 storms, we measured the flow rates of water delivered to or discharged from the biofilter (using large holding tanks sitting on industrial scales). We also measured the bromide concentration breakthrough in the biofilter outflow. Here we have compiled datasets for measured inflow rates, outflow rates, and outflow bromide concentrations across the 17 simulated storm experiments. See our paper for further details.
