Abstract
This repository contains simulations of grout fluid flow through a porous ballast box.
Instructions:
To run the simulations, the user needs to utilize the interFoam solver in OpenFOAM-v8 on a Linux system.
Contents:
Ballast_porosity_model: A large-scale ballast box case modeled using a porosity model.
Cone: Contains simulations of the emptying cone experiment, modeled with two cone geometries for validation purposes.
Darcy: Numerical Darcy experiments used to determine the porosity model coefficients.
Empty_box: Validation cases for flow injection in two different empty boxes.
Half_ballast: Porosity model for half of the large ballast box.
Small_ballast: Five cases with different rheological properties used to optimize grout rheology.
