Abstract

This integrated dataset provides comprehensive field verification data for both hydrodynamic and ecological habitat suitability models across three Yangtze River locations: Yichang, Jianli, and Daijiazhou. Collected during 2019-2021, the dataset includes synchronized measurements of hydrodynamic parameters (water depth and current velocity) and biological biomass (fish, macro-invertebrates, and hygrophytes) from coordinated field surveys. The hydrodynamic component contains 12 sampling points with paired field measurements and model simulations, complete with relative error calculations for model validation. The ecological component comprises 190 sampling points with detailed biomass measurements across three trophic levels. This unique dataset enables coupled analysis of physical habitat characteristics and biological responses, supporting the development and verification of integrated eco-hydraulic models. The data are particularly valuable for environmental flow assessments, habitat restoration planning, and sustainable river management in large fluvial systems.
