Abstract
This resource provides essential tools to retrieve stream water temperature (SWT) data from the United States Geological Survey’s (USGS) National Water Information System (NWIS). The resource includes a Python script (USGS_Dataretrieval_WT.py) for automated data retrieval and a Jupyter Notebook example (USGS_Dataretrieval_WT_Example.ipynb) that are designed to help facilitate the automated retrieval of SWT data from the USGS NWIS.
