My name is Mariam Khanam. I am a first year Master's student in the Dept. of Geography at the University of Alabama.

My research interests evolves around scientific understanding of hydrologic processes. Recently, I have been investigating the effect of using different geometric description (LiDAR DEM/ observed or empirically derived bathymetry) on flood simulation. This involves simulation of flood events in different rivers in Alabama by using several numerical models.

Outside of academics, I love to travel and explore new places.

The provided links can be copied and pasted into GIS software to access these data. Multidimensional NetCDF data are made available via a THREDDS Data Server using remote data access protocols such as OPeNDAP. Other data services may be made available in the future to support additional data types.
