ABSTRACT:
The ET-Amazon data set contains the monthly actual evapotranspiration for the Amazon River Basin. ET-Amazon was created by linear averaging six individual ET products: (1) MODIS Global Terrestrial Evapotranspiration Algorithm (MOD16) (Mu et al. 2011), (2) Atmosphere-Land Exchange Inverse Model (MOD16) (Anderson et al. 2007), (3) Global Land Evaporation Amsterdam Model (GLEAM) (Miralles et al. 2011), (4) Operational Simplified Surface Energy Balance (SSEBop) (Senay et al. 2013), (5) CSIRO MODIS Reflectance-based Evapotranspiration (CMRSET) (Guerschman et al. 2009), and (6) Surface Energy Balance System (SEBS) (Su 2002) and (Chen et al. 2013), and subsequently downscaled to 0.0025° using the MODIS-based, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) data (Rouse et al. 1973). The period of analysis is from 2003-01-01 to 2013-12-31.
