ABSTRACT:
This resource provides supporting data for the study “Contrasting Roles of Sedimentary and Microbial Heterogeneity in Controlling Hyporheic Nitrate Removal.” The dataset includes the initial permeability and particulate organic carbon (POC) fields used to represent two contrasting heterogeneous sediment structures based on the Massillon Sandstone and Brazos River deposits. It also contains the numerical simulation data underlying Figures 3–5 of the manuscript, which characterize the spatiotemporal distributions of functional heterotrophic microbial biomass, permeability, dissolved organic carbon (DOC), dissolved oxygen (DO), nitrate (NO3⁻), and associated reaction rates under the different sediment and microbial representations.
ABSTRACT:
The content of this resource serves as the data for the manusript that is prapared to submit to Geophysical Research Letters. This data was output from the two-dimensional numerical model simulations.
ABSTRACT:
The content of this resource serves as the data for the paper titled "Permeable Biofilms Can Support Persistent Hyporheic Anoxic Microzones" that published in Geophysical Research Letters. This data was output from the two-dimensional numerical model simulations.
