ABSTRACT:
This dataset contains hydrochemical data for estuarine water samples from the Ria de Huelva estuary (Spain) (tab 2) and for river waters impacted by acid mine drainage collected in the Odiel and Tinto catchments draining into this estuary (tab 3). In addition, it contains hydrochemical data for river water – seawater mixing experiments using samples from this estuarine system to study the neutralization of acidity in the river waters by alkaline seawater – Neutralization experiments (NEs) (tab 3 and 4).
ABSTRACT:
This dataset contains major elemental compositions and Ba isotope compositions of filtered river water (tab 2), river sediment (tab 3) and rain samples (tab 4) collected in the Irrawaddy and Salween river catchments. In addition, major elemental compositions and Ba isotope compositions of reference clay samples from the Clay Mineral Society (tab 5) are presented. The river sediment samples were subjected to a 5 stage sequential leaching procedure as described in table 1. Data for tests to this sequential leaching procedure, feature triplicates of step 1 (NH4Cl) are presented in tab 6.
